jesus, a 15lb-er! He should’ve eaten it. Mmmm

  2. A fish that large definitely needs to be removed from the gene pool to be displayed above someone’s fireplace, without a doubt. We wouldn’t the genetics that allowed that fish to grow that large to be passed onto future generations.

@fumblingthefly I catch your drift, man. I guess this was before C&R became the cool thing in the West.

Jacklin has practiced c & r for the past 30 yrs. This issue has be debated in a variety of forums the past couple of years. In addition, Jacklin was the taxadermist(sp) for this fish. I was born & raised in Montana and can only hope that those that move here from MI or other places would follow Bob’s example. I think he has contributed to the West Yellowstone community & made it a better place.

Thanks for the input kasey. Do you know when the video was filmed? Personally a quality photo is good enough for me.

How Small A Trout

Maybe your stature as a fly fisherman isn't determined by how big a trout you can catch, but by how small a trout you can catch without being disappointed. -- John Gierach
