Last night was the send off party for my great friend, BC. He and his girl friend are planning to do something like this
I will miss them both. This morning I could only think back to my travels of last summer. There are things I miss out there, I hope BC will pour a sip of Rainer out for me in some remote fish water.

I’ve fished enough over the past years that my boots rarely go dry, and when they do, it’s time to go fishing.
You really don’t care that I’ve been away from my fly fishing life the past few days. Sorry, I became a tourist and did touristy things. I could have easily fished small streams in the Laurel Highlands or jumped into Bedford County for a bit, but it was really the fact that I was so near the Gunpowder River that had me a bit flustered. I never thought anything would capture my interest like fly fishing has, I was wrong and am paying for it

Elk are native to Pennsylvania but were forced out by over hunting in the late 17th century, fortunately the PA Game Commission reintroduced the species with a healthy population of Rocky Mountain elk nearly a century ago. My girlfriend and I took advantage of this resource and set off to see if we could locate the herd.

WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP -- Several families in Wyoming County are heading home after a fracking fluid spill at a nearby natural gas well pad forced them out early Thursday.
The Department of Environmental Resources said a drill malfunction caused thousands of gallons of fracking fluid to shoot out, and for a while workers were worried there could be natural gas explosion.
